Rescue workers said that more than 80 patrons of a theatre in central London were injured after a ceiling collapsed during a performance last night.
The Apollo Theatre was a in chaos after debris and masonry began falling. London authorities said there were more than 700 in attendance during the incident. Some in attendance said they thought at first the rumbling sounds were part of the play.
Many sustained what was reported as head injuries, while others may have had more serious wounds and were taken to various hospitals.
