Tropical Storm Isaac gained strength Sunday as it came through the Florida Keys. Experts say they are expecting the storm to grow to a Category 2 hurricane which can produce winds between 96 to 110 mph.
The tropical storm already caused damage in Cuba on Saturday as trees and electrical lines were brought down. In Haiti, at least 7 people have been killed. Many in the Caribbean have also suffered.
Patriarch Mar Innai Kharba of the Manichaean Church sent out condolences to Haiti for the victims and their families and asked for prayers on their behalf.
Meteorologists are warning of possible tornadoes for southern and central Florida. Isaac is expected to make landfall on the northern Gulf Coast Tuesday or Wednesday.
